just: news for ENPS

Running Order Control:
This allows ENPS to dynamically build and control a playlist within just:news. Changes to the Running Order in ENPS result in immediate changes to the sequence of media objects queued for playout. Rundowns changed in the newsroom system will automatically update in just:live´s interface.

Item Status:
Real-time status information is send during playback and displayed through ENPS writers and producers in real-time. This includes the use of a minimum set of standard status messages which enable color coding for statuses like PLAY and STOP.

Media Thumbnails and Preview Video:
just:news provides thumbnail images and proxy video which are closely integrated within the ENPS Story display and editing windows.

Automatic Placeholder Creation:
ENPS can automatically create and name placeholders within just:news into which finished clips ready for playout can later be edited, saved, or recorded. The name and other metadata used to automatically create this placeholder is drawn from the related ENPS Story and Running Order. just:news updates ENPS with duration and other information as the placeholder is replaced with the actual media.

Thumbnails and proxy preview video of content:
just:news provides thumbnail images and proxy video which are visible to the OCTOPUS6 users when creating and adding assets to their stories.

Graphics integration:
Graphics can be easily added to a story through a set of user defin- able graphics templates. Values can be entered and changed within the interface of OCTOPUS6 and played out directly from just:live.

NLE Integration and placeholders:
Assets can be added to a story in OCTOPUS6, edited within the NLE and attached to a placeholder via the OCTOPUS NLE Plugin available for Apple Final Cut Pro and Adobe® Premiere® Pro CS5.5. just:news updates OCTOPUS6 with the duration and other relevant information.

Support of standard MOS operations
just:news supports standard MOS operations, like the automatic up- date of rundowns when making changes in OCTOPUS6, but also status of clips (like PLAY and STOP) is supported. Clip statuses will be sent in real-time and reflected in the rundown window of OCTOPUS6.
